At Saltire Languages, our classes are designed to help you build confidence using the language in a friendly and supportive environment. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build on your existing knowledge, we offer a structured yet flexible approach to learning.

All of our classes take place in person at our language school in Mirren Court, Paisley. This gives you the chance to connect, practise and progress alongside others in a relaxed and sociable setting.

We keep our groups small to ensure every learner gets the attention and practice time they need. You'll benefit from both tutor support and peer interaction throughout each session.

This course starts from scratch and ideal for those with very little or no prior knowledge. A fun 8 week course that introduces you to the language. We cover the very basics greetings, numbers, days of the week, family, food and drink and much more.

The second of our Complete Beginner courses, this level is ideal if you have already covered some of the very basics. It is also a good level if you have taken a gap in your learning and are looking at getting back to learning. A continuation of the previous 8 Weeks, you will build on vocabulary, look more at present tense verbs and be introduced to some common irregular verbs.

This level is used to build vocabulary and gain confidence speaking in and using present tense verbs. We also introduce some simple past and future tenses, reflexive verbs and look at irregular verbs. This is not for complete beginners starting from scratch so please attend our Complete Beginner course if you have no basic prior knowledge.

At this level we start to introduce the past and future tenses and further develop confidence in speaking. To attend at this level you should have a wide vocabulary and feel confident using the present tense and looking to focus more on past and future tenses.

This level is pupil lead with a strong focus on speaking and conversing in the language. Grammar is covered as and when required and we focus on exposure to the language in different formats. To attend at this level you should have a strong knowledge of vocabulary and a good grasp of verbs in different tenses.
